  This week we´ll continue reviewing speaking in the present. This time we´re going to go over the   Present Perfect Tenses: 1. the Perfect Tense and  2. the Present Perfect Progressive Task 1 : Watch the video to review main features of the Present Perfect. (18 minutes) Task 2 : Check the list of irregular verbs and their forms (focus on past participles) Task 3: Watch the video to review the use of the Present Perfect versus the Present Perfect Progressive (13 minutes) Task 4 : Watch the video to continue with the review of the Present Perfect versus the Present Perfect Progressive. Post 4: Speaking in the Present

This week, we´ll continue to review the present in English approaching the Present Progressive, also called Present Continuous. In class next Tuesday, we´ll review the Simple Perfect Tense. Task I : Grammar Practice I´m sure you can use the Present Progresive very well. For practicing purposes check the following material that constrasts speaking in the Simple Present and the Present Progressive. a.  Here is a video contrasting speaking in Simple Present versus speaking in the Present Progressive. b.   The objective of this new week is to have you practice speaking in the present. I. Task 1: Explain the use and different forms of the Simple Present Tense.                                        Next class you will explain how to use the Simple Present Tense (affirmative, negative, question, short  answers, etc.). To help you do this, watch this video (8:30 minutes long). The speaker has a British accent. II. Talking using the present Task 2 : What is your daily routine? Write about your daily routine weekdays and on the weekend (include adverbs of frequency - always, usually, sometimes, often, never. Practice reading this. You will talk about it in class.   Responses to Tasks in Post 1. Task 1: " My grammar level is A2."   What does it mean? Feedback for Task 1: Your level of English is A2. However, you have a clear understanding of spoken and written English, equivalent to A2+/B1. Descriptors Task 2 . I think is very difficult for me to  learn English, realy ,  I can read Medicin books with tecnic words, but I have problem with grammar and when I try to speak and write.  I took many free courses in the university and another places , but my progress was not good. Maybe I didn't strive enougt  and sometimes I didn't  had time. I'm very interesting to learn English and now I have more time to do it.  I want to travel in the future and I will visit t he family in law of my son and daughter  Who lives in Australia and  USA  and I have a good conversation with them . Post 1: Write about your experiences as an English learner

Hi! For the following week you will be doing some activities with the goal of evaluating your level of English. This is necessary so we can dedicate time to target weak areas and reinforce those areas where you´re strong. Task 1 Please take this grammar test and tell me what level you achieved at the end.  The results they give you will be in letters (A, A2, B1, B2, etc.).
